Strive disclosed another bitcoin purchase on Monday, buying 1,375 BTC for $109 million at an average price of $79,281 per coin.
A weekly buying rhythm
The company has stuck to the habit of announcing its purchases on the first business day of the week, the same cadence Michael Saylor follows at Strategy.
Monday’s addition lifts the treasury to 24,531 BTC.
With bitcoin trading around $78,200, that position is worth just over $1.9 billion.
CEO Matt Cole wrote on X:
“Strive acquired an additional 1,375 BTC for $109M at an average cost of $79,281 per bitcoin, bringing total holdings to ₿24,531. 70% of the capital raised last week came from $SATA, which now has $999M notional outstanding.”
Where the money comes from
The SATA ticker refers to Strive’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, which Cole said now carries $999 million in notional outstanding.
A week earlier the firm bought 1,800 BTC for $143 million at a similar average price.
Much of its starting position came from the acquisition of Semler Scientific, which had already accumulated 5,048 BTC before the deal closed.
Strategy stays on the sidelines
Eight days ago the two announcements arrived together, with Strategy breaking a purchase drought of more than two months.
This time Saylor’s company said it is holding off while it repurchases STRC shares.
Strive now stands as the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder, trailing Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings.
