Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate and current Cabinet nominee, announced that he has invested the majority of his personal wealth into Bitcoin.

In a November 16 X.com post, Kennedy described Bitcoin as the “currency of freedom” and reiterated its utility as a hedge against inflation:

Bitcoin is the currency of freedon, a hedge against inflation for middle class Americans, a remedy against the dollar’s downgrade from the world’s reserve currency, and the offramp from a ruinous national debit. Bitcoin will have no stronger advocate than Howard Lutnick.

Bitcoin advocacy

Known for his staunch support of the decentralized digital currency, Kennedy has long advocated for Bitcoin’s role in stabilizing the U.S. dollar alongside hard assets like gold and silver.

In July 2023, Kennedy revealed that he had purchased two Bitcoin for each of his seven children, demonstrating his trust in the currency’s future.

Bitcoin policy

During the Bitcoin 2024 event, he also proposed plans for a Bitcoin strategic reserve and pledged to use blockchain technology to increase fiscal transparency in government.

Kennedy has continued to advocate for integrating Bitcoin into national policy, calling it “inevitable” and highlighting its potential to help preserve the U.S. dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency.
