NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen says Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, recently cautioned him against talking publicly about his supposed interactions with Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin.
“My guy, Michael Saylor, asked me not to speak on my conversations with Satoshi. No more talk about Satoshi.”
Pippen shared the above, referring to guidance he received from Saylor.
Saylor and Pippen’s bitcoin connection
Pippen claims he first “met” Satoshi in 1993, well before Bitcoin’s creation, and has since had recurring dreams featuring Satoshi, who provides him with bitcoin price predictions.
These forecasts, which Pippen shares with his 730,000 followers on X, have at times closely tracked actual market moves.
During a panel with Saylor at the Cantor Crypto Conference in November 2024, Saylor expressed admiration for Pippen’s unconventional relationship with Satoshi, stating he found it “constructive” for a high-profile figure to discuss Satoshi openly.

In September 2024, Pippen posted that Satoshi predicted bitcoin would hit $84,650 on U.S. election day.
While the price didn’t land precisely on that date, it reached the target two weeks later.
In December, he cryptically predicted:
“Bitcoin will go closer to Black Mamba numbers before it goes back to Chamberlain.”
This was interpreted as suggesting bitcoin would touch $81,000 before surpassing $100,000 again. These predictions have stirred considerable engagement online and highlight Pippen’s unique role among celebrity bitcoin advocates.
