Jan3 founder Samson Mow said Tesla CEO Elon Musk will aggressively move into bitcoin in 2026.

Mow wrote in an X post on Saturday:

“@elonmusk goes hard into BTC.”

Musk’s bitcoin history

Musk has voiced support for bitcoin at times, while also raising environmental concerns.

Tesla stopped accepting bitcoin payments in May 2021, citing environmental issues.

In July 2022, Tesla disclosed it had sold 75% of its bitcoin holdings.

Mow’s 2026 price call

Mow also predicted bitcoin will reach $1.33 million in 2026.

That would be about a 1,367% increase from around $90,596.

In a June 2025 interview, Mow said $1 million was possible in 2025, or otherwise 2026.

He said:

“[It] is a given at this point, maybe this year, maybe next year.”

Mow has previously argued that nation-state adoption could be a key catalyst.

Other forecasts are more cautious

Other executives have offered more conservative expectations.

On Dec. 28, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said he expects a long-term upward trend with strong returns but not extraordinary gains.

Mow’s other 2026 predictions included Strategy (MSTR) reaching $5,000, bitcoin outperforming metals after December record highs for gold and silver, and at least one country launching a Bitcoin bond.
