Interactive Brokers has expanded its digital asset services to the European Economic Area, giving eligible individual investors access to 11 cryptocurrencies alongside traditional financial instruments.
The rollout is facilitated through Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, an authorized crypto-asset service provider, and was built via an integration with Zero Hash.
What’s available
The 11 assets available for trading include BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, LINK, SOL, ADA, XRP, DOGE, AVAX, and SUI.
Users can access them through the company’s full platform suite, including Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile, and IBKR GlobalTrader — all alongside stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and mutual funds.
CEO’s comment
CEO Milan Galik said the combined offering could help clients:
“Manage risk, liquidity, and capital more efficiently across their entire portfolio.”
Broader geographic reach
Interactive Brokers already offers crypto trading in the United States through Interactive Brokers LLC, and in the United Kingdom through Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited.
The EEA expansion marks another step in the firm’s push to bring bitcoin and other digital assets to retail investors through regulated, multi-asset brokerage platforms — a trend that has accelerated alongside the growth of US Bitcoin ETFs and broader institutional adoption.
