Have These Exchanges Been Hacked Before?
No. However, in November 2021, Robinhood reported a data breach affecting approximately 7 million customers. Prior to this, in July 2019, the company admitted to storing some users' passwords in plaintext. The company has also acknowledged occasional small-scale account compromises.
Swan Bitcoin was affected by a data breach at HubSpot in March 2022, which also impacted BlockFi, NYDIG, and Circle. The breach involved unauthorized access to user information stored in HubSpot, but internal systems and treasuries were not compromised. Additionally, in August 2022, Swan Bitcoin experienced a data leak due to a phishing attack on its newsletter provider, Klaviyo. This incident led to the exposure of email addresses and some user data, but no evidence of misuse has been found.

"Good app! Relatively new to the crypto world, I've tried about 8-9 different wallets and Robinhood has been my favorite so far. Their interface is outstanding; you're able to see Live market data for current crypto prices; you can view returns by total returns or 24 hours, either by dollar amount or percentage. The buying process is instantaneous. The only improvement I'd like to see is hopefully they will adopt ALL ISO20022 compliant crypto. 🚀 💯"

Swan is about education for its customers and offers a wide variety of articles, podcasts etc in the app. Dashboard allows you to view your total bought, current balance, available sats to withdraw, a smash buy button etc."
