Bitcoin Exchange Fees & Recurring Buy Comparison
This calculator shows two types of fees you may encounter when buying bitcoin:
- Exchange Fee: The direct fee charged by the exchange for executing your trade. This is usually shown as a percentage of your purchase amount.
- Spread Fee: A hidden cost where exchanges quote a price higher than the actual market price of bitcoin. For example, if bitcoin is trading at $40,000, an exchange might quote you $40,200, creating a 0.5% spread fee.
We calculate both fees to give you full transparency on the true cost of your bitcoin purchase.
