Connect ChatGPT to Bitbo
Connect ChatGPT to Bitbo so you can ask questions about Bitcoin data in plain language. This guide is for the browser version of ChatGPT — there's nothing to install.
note
ChatGPT developer mode is available on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts. Workspace administrators may need to allow custom apps before members can connect one. You also need a Bitbo Pro++ account.
Connect Bitbo
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings.
- Turn on Developer mode.
- Return to Settings → Apps and choose Create app beside Advanced settings.
- Enter Bitbo as the app name.
- Enter this remote MCP server URL:
https://mcp.bitbo.io/mcp
- If ChatGPT asks for an authentication method, choose OAuth. Don't add an API key, authorization URL, OAuth client ID, or client secret.
- Create the app, then choose Connect or Authorize when prompted.
- Sign in to Bitbo, review the read-only access request, and choose Allow Access.
If Create app is missing, confirm Developer mode is on and that your plan or workspace administrator allows custom apps.
Turn it on in a conversation
- Start a new conversation.
- Open the + menu and choose Developer mode.
- Select the Bitbo app for the conversation.
